I think of solo hiking as “moving meditation”. This has been important therapy for me over the years. Plus my dog loves it! Depressed? Sore neck or back? Stressed out? Need some time to think? Need some time to not think? Hiking is a good answer to any of these problems. I am lucky in that I live right next to Griffith Park so I can leave my apartment and be on a trail in 10 minutes.
As of 2018 I have started a new hobby taking pictures of all the plants I see and identifying them. Check it out!
