I’ve been taking 5-htp for a while now! It started back when I was a “raver” in the late 90’s and after a night of partying the tactic was to try and restore serotonin levels with this precursor. 5-htp is currently thought of as the last metabolite before being turned into serotonin and also supposedly crosses the blood brain barrier.
